FAB's Pure activity
I am so looking forward to meeting FAB retailers at Pure this weekend. Members and prospective members will be most welcome to drop by the FAB lounge at the show for refreshments and to learn more about how FAB can positively assist their businesses.
We will be hosting a drinks reception at the lounge from 5pm to 6pm on Sunday, so come along to unwind after what we hope will have been a good day's buying. But feel free to drop in at any time during the three days of Pure.
Earlier on Sunday, at 4pm, I will be on the Contemporary stage (at the back of the Grand Hall) with FAB members Elaine Black of Tom Hughes and Sally White of White Boutique, both of which trade in Narberth, south Wales. Come along to hear how retailers even in the same town can benefit from joining our national network of fashion independents. Sally and Elaine will also be chatting about what's caught their eye at Pure.
FAB will also be represented in a panel discussion about protecting and strengthening independent retailing at 3pm on Sunday on the Contemporary stage. Handling your questions on that occasion will be Michael Weedon, deputy chief executive of bira, FAB's parent organisation.
And, in another chance to network, FAB is sponsoring the reception for Drapers' Inspiring Independents event on Monday evening. We are delighted to be part of this celebration of some of the best independent fashion stores in the UK. (Due to limitations of space, this is an invitation-only event.)
Finally, on Monday, February 13, I will be having my usual Pure chat with the pink-haired living legend that is Zandra Rhodes on the Contemporary stage. Being a one-off herself, Zandra is a big fan of fashion independents.
We hope you can find time for FAB in your Pure schedule. (And if not, we are at Moda the next weekend)
